Nicole Benton is a graduate student therapist in Central Florida. She is currently in the final stages of completing her masters degree in marriage and Family counseling/therapy.
Nicole has experience working with a broad range of clients, including but not limited to families experiencing domestic violence within the home, anxiety and depression, anger, relationship and individual concerns. She has worked with adolescents and families in crisis, and also works in a community mental health agency providing trauma informed care to individuals, couples, teens, and families. From these experiences, she has and is continuing to gain an array of clinical knowledge that helps her to best serve her clients.
Nicole believes in meeting her clients where they are and has spent an extensive amount of time researching evidence based methods to inform her practice. Her primary areas of interest include culture and identity, trauma, and couples therapy.
As a student marriage and Family therapist, Nicole works from a systems and strengths based approach, as she recognizes that there are multiple factors that contribute to clients’ stress and wellbeing. She focuses on clients’ strengths and wellness, tailoring therapy to fit each clients’ needs. Nicole works from a solution-focused approach under the supervision of Ann Anita Kelly, LMHC.
