Feeling like no one understands can be devastating and disclosing uncomfortable feelings to a complete stranger is far from easy. From my perspective, it takes a tremendous amount of resilience to reach out for help when feelings of hopelessness seem to take over. A challenging process, I believe that emotional vulnerability is a difficult yet courageous act of self-love and self-compassion. Going to therapy is a brave undertaking, and I want to acknowledge your first step towards healing: you are here, actively looking to play a role in your recovery.
Specializing in Borderline Personality Disorder, I passionately strive to advocate for the condition and help to reduce stigmas by educating clients, their loved ones, and the general population. In addition, I have worked with other personality disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, LGBT issues, anger management, adjustment disorders, cultural concerns, relational issues, and couples. I enjoy working with adolescents, adult individuals, and couples.
As individuals walk through the door, they are reaffirmed that it is an honor to witness their journey unfold. My mission is to nurture a culture of empowerment by transforming one's voice within.
